FIRESTARTERS Parries, Combos and Multikills: Different Targets
Distinguish reflected-projectile kills, several weapons against one enemy, and rapid multikills using the official achievement requirements.
What do the parry achievements require?
The official Steam achievement descriptions identify two reflectable sources: a Heater projectile and an Overseer eye. Comebacker specifically asks for a Heater killed by its own returned projectile. The other three parry tasks count how many enemies a single returned projectile or eye kills.
| Achievement | Required outcome |
|---|---|
| Comebacker | Return a Heater’s projectile to kill that Heater |
| Double Play | Two kills from one reflected projectile or eye |
| Triple Play | Three kills from one reflected projectile or eye |
| Grand Slam | At least four kills from one reflected projectile or eye |
The published conditions do not provide a default parry key, timing window, or guaranteed position for grouping enemies. Check your current controls rather than importing an unverified binding from another game.
What is a multiweapon combo in the achievement list?
It is several different weapons used in killing the same enemy. Combo Kill begins at two weapons; Three Course Meal, Blue Plate Special and With The Works increase that to three, four and five. All You Can Eat calls for all six. Switching weapons between different enemies is not the same stated condition.
The Mining Laser page covers a related distinction between direct-beam and fire-damage kills. The Railgun page separates multiple targets in one shot from consecutive shots against different targets.
How are rapid multikills different?
They count enemies, rather than weapons. The official checklist runs from Double Kill at two enemies through Demanufacture at eight, all in quick succession. The descriptions do not supply the time window in seconds. Do not infer a numerical timer or score multiplier from the achievement names alone.
Use the complete achievement reference to track these targets independently. For one attempt, choose whether your goal is multiple weapons on one target, several rapid kills, or multiple kills from one reflected object.
Should you follow old infinite-medal tricks?
The developer confirmed that several Overseer medal-farming cases were fixed in a demo-era exploit report, followed by the February 25 announcement. An old video showing repeated medals is not evidence that the same method remains available in the release.
Official achievement conditions and developer reply checked November 2, 2026. This page explains targets without claiming a tested farming route or timing method.
