FIRESTARTERS Arcade Mode: Storm Unlocks and Score-Run Objectives
Unlock each FIRESTARTERS Storm in Arcade, distinguish leaderboard runs from achievements, and find precise weapon and combo objectives.
How do you unlock a Storm in Arcade mode?
Complete that Storm in Story first, then return to it in Arcade. That is the unlock sequence in the official Steam description. It does not say that you must finish all of Episode One before trying an already-cleared Storm.
The initial Early Access release includes both Story and the unlockable Arcade mode. The beginner guide covers the movement and resource rules to know before your first clear.
Are leaderboards the same thing as multiplayer?
No. Steam lists single-player play and describes Arcade scores competing with friends and a global leaderboard. A shared score table does not mean that players enter the arena together. See platform and controller support for the current supported-feature boundaries.
The store does not document every score calculation. Achievement conditions below are useful objectives, but an achievement description alone does not prove that an action has a particular multiplier or medal value.
How do combo kills differ from rapid multikills?
A multiweapon condition refers to one enemy hit or killed using several weapons; a rapid-multikill condition refers to different enemies killed close together. A parry multikill is more specific again: several enemies must die to one returned projectile. The official achievement list keeps these conditions separate.
| Objective | What must be different about the result? |
|---|---|
| Combo Kill | Kill one enemy using two different weapons |
| Double Kill | Kill two enemies in quick succession |
| Double Play | Kill two enemies with one parried Heater projectile or Overseer eye |
Use the parry and combo guide for the larger groups and the achievement checklist to find the exact named target. No numeric time window for “quick succession” is supplied by that wording.
Which weapon conditions are easy to confuse?
Accurate calls for a Railgun hit from at least 50 metres; Precise calls for a killing direct rocket hit at that distance. A successful long-range hit therefore does not satisfy both descriptions. Railgun targets and shotgun/rocket conditions explain the remaining distinctions.
If the frame rate behaves unexpectedly during a run, use the VSync and Framerate Limit guide. The developer explains why VSync may remove tearing without capping FPS to the display’s refresh rate.
